Understanding that our worth is intrinsic is the key to recovery from addictions, bullying and other negative behaviours - it must also be the key to prevention. That’s the premise on which I’ve established my three-session “Proactive Parenting” course series. As a parent, you need to know that the negative beliefs that feed harmful self-talk and which subconsciously sabotage our lives, get started in early childhood. While you can’t prevent your children from taking on these beliefs, you can help to counter them when they do. Parents will experience a deep listening activity in session #1 and will have the chance to ask questions each session. Sessions are one and a half hours, but can be adjusted for different audiences. There is a one-day intensive option as well, in which sessions one and two are taught on the same day.
