Six Things to Keep in Mind to Enjoy the Best Holiday Season Ever!

1. Don’t be attached to an outcome – as we all know expectations are premeditated disappointments, so simply surrender and you’ll not be upset if things don’t go as planned.
   
   
2. Remind yourself that family gatherings, parties and celebrations are vehicles for giving and receiving love. We are better able to stay on purpose with that firmly in mind.
   
   
3. Gratitude is a great way to keep the mood positive or to switch from negative to positive. Tell everyone what it is about them that you appreciate. 
   
   
4. If you are upset in any way and you think it’s because of something someone said or did or didn’t do, remind yourself that you are not upset for the reason you think – it’s about you! Ask yourself:
   
   a. What is this upset for? – it is always for your healing
   b. What is the healing that is being offered?

5. Everything is either a cry for love or an extension of love, so be sure to answer your own cry for love first (using the Six Steps). Recognize a cry for love in your relatives and give love to it. Hugs and smiles are a great way of doing that. Move closer rather than pulling away.
